Inventory Associate

About the Role

DG Matrix is seeking an Inventory Associate to own incoming materials, component storage, kitting, and finished goods at our Morrisville, NC facility. This is a system-oriented role requiring ERP discipline and proactive communication with production and supply chain teams. This role must be in place before the first production build begins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and log all incoming shipments against POs in the ERP system (Odoo)
  • Verify components against BOMs, packing lists, and quality inspection criteria; quarantine non-conforming items
  • Put away received inventory in correct bin locations per location management system
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory against ERP records
  • Pick, stage, and verify component quantities for assembly work order kits before floor release
  • Track and communicate inventory levels, shortages, and excess to Supply Chain and Production teams
  • Manage outbound shipments — finished goods packaging verification, shipping documentation, and carrier coordination
  • Maintain clean, organized, and labeled storage areas per 5S standards

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of inventory control or warehouse management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with ERP or warehouse management systems — Odoo, SAP, or similar
  • Strong accuracy and documentation discipline
  • Experience with cycle counting, bin management, and physical inventory reconciliation
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and operate basic material handling equipment
  • Proactive communicator — flag shortages and discrepancies before they become production problems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing inventory for electronics or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing
  • Familiarity with international shipping documentation and import/export compliance
  • APICS CPIM or equivalent certification
  • Experience with kitting operations for production work orders
