About the Role
DG Matrix is seeking a Senior Inventory Associate to establish and lead inventory management operations at our new facility in Morrisville, NC. This role will set up the ERP inventory structure, coordinate international inbound logistics, and own the upstream inventory buffer strategy that allows the facility to ramp without disruption. This is a senior individual contributor role with oversight of the Inventory Associate.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and own the ERP inventory structure — item masters, bin locations, warehouse zones, and cycle count plans in Odoo
- Coordinate all international inbound shipments — customs documentation, freight forwarder communication, and receiving protocols
- Manage the upstream inventory buffer — maintain sub-assembly and HLA stock levels to feed production without stockouts
- Receive, inspect, and log all incoming shipments against POs; lead disposition of non-conforming materials
- Oversee and develop the Inventory Associate — assign tasks, verify accuracy, and build team capability
- Lead physical inventory and cycle count programs; own inventory accuracy KPI
- Coordinate outbound shipments and finished goods documentation
- Interface with Supply Chain on supplier delivery performance, shortages, and excess inventory
- Develop and maintain inventory SOPs and train team members on procedures
- Support customs and export compliance for international shipments
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of inventory control or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years in a senior, lead, or supervisor-level inventory role
- Advanced ERP proficiency — Odoo, SAP, or similar; ability to configure item masters and warehouse structures
- Experience with international shipping documentation, customs clearance, and freight forwarding coordination
- Strong analytical skills — manage inventory accuracy KPIs and drive root cause on discrepancies
- Leadership capability — able to guide and develop junior team members
- Proactive communicator with supply chain and production leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electronics, power systems, or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with import/export regulations for industrial components
- Experience setting up inventory operations in a new or greenfield manufacturing facility
